Beautiful Athabasca Falls At Dusk, Jasper, Alberta, Canada

Athabasca Falls is a waterfall in Jasper National Park on the upper Athabasca River, give or take 30 kilometers south of the townsite of Jasper, Alberta, Canada, and simply west of the Icefields Parkway. An effective, pleasant waterfall, Athabasca Falls is not known such a great amount for the tallness of the falls (23 meters), as it is known for its drive because of the extensive amount of water falling into the crevasse. Indeed on a chilly morning in the fall, when waterway levels have a tendency to be at their most minimal, bountiful measures of water stream over the falls. The waterway "falls" over a layer of hard quartzite and through the milder limestone beneath cutting the short crevasse and various potholes. The falls can be securely seen and captured from different survey stages and strolling trails around the falls. Access is from the close-by parking garage, which begins Highway 93a simply northeast of the falls. Thruway 93a takes off from the adjacent Icefields Parkway, and crosses the falls on the path north to the town of Jasper. White water rafting regularly begins beneath the tumbles to travel downstream on the Athabasca River to Jasper.

It is a Class 5 waterfall, with a drop of 80 ft (24 m) and a width of 60 ft (18 m). Read more
