The power-driven car cost over 100,000 yuan ($15,990) for its maker Yu Tao, who designed, sculpted and assembled the car. He said it took him half a year to finish the project.
The car, which can run at the speed of 30 kilometers per hour, is shaped like a “golden cicada” and is 4 meters long, 1.5 meters wide and 1.5 meters high.
Apart from its key parts, such as the engine and tires, the structure and the inside decorations are all made of eaglewood and rosewood. It’s the first handmade pure redwood racing car in the country.
